Difference between AMOLED and TFT LCD

1. TFT

Thin Film Transistor, is a flat kind of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), where each the pixel is controlled by 1 to 4 transistor. This kind can display rich color, but pretty sensitive.

2. AMOLED
Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode,
is a layer or film, containing some organic mollecul that can produce light when have a contraction with electricity, the fact is, this AMOLED produce great sharpness of color, but less consumption of energy, and this kind of screen is popular now in some android device.

The other Variant of AMOLED is super AMOLED. It is the way higher of technology.

Lets compare these TFT and AMOLED...

Clearly there is a big differences between these two kinds. The better sharpness and less consumption maybe the better choice.
